Studio Nuôi has evolved from Format M
Studio Nuôi gives my work a name that reflects my roots, my thinking, and my attitude. I grew up between two cultures – Swiss and Vietnamese – and I learned early on to change perspectives. This ability to navigate between two worlds continues to shape my work today: listening, questioning, connecting. Design becomes a bridge that connects people, ideas, and contexts. Good design isn’t created for people, but with them.
I continuously design visual identities for brands, institutions, and companies. I also develop communication design in print and digital, create editorial designs, and implement screen designs. My focus is still on clear, well-thought-out design with attitude – concise in expression and open in thought.
Studio Nuôi has been around for over 10 years now, and it’s all grown from the Format M experience. I’m driven by curiosity and a desire to make attitudes visible. Today, Studio Nuôi stands for conscious design: sustainable design that creates meaning, nurtures relationships, and enables change. My work is focused on issues that matter to me, like sustainability, society, and the future. It’s better to do the right thing than to just do things right (P. F. Drucker, 1967).
Engaging with the discipline of futuring has advanced this path. It’s shown me how design can create new possibilities. It’s not just about fixing the current situation, but also creating new perspectives. I tend to look for visual forms that will still be relevant tomorrow, rather than quick fixes.
As a designer, I want to create connections, open up new perspectives, and welcome the unknown. For me, design is a living process—one that nourishes, moves, and allows growth.
Studio Nuôi is more than just a name. It’s an attitude: design that nourishes.
Good design comes from talking it through. Maybe over a cup of coffee?
I’m excited to chat with you and see what we can grow together.
