I find it always inspiring to visit exhibitions like this one: „Under Pressure Solutions“. In a two year investigation Master Product Design students and their teachers came up with a material which is lightweight, biosourced and biodegradeable to solve the problem of transportation, especially with furniture. The foam like material is compressed, once moist with water it grows into its preferable shape.

Some key features of designers are reframing problems, critical thinking, designing in variation or transform ideas to a visual form. They deliver new approaches to solve problems or help to develop a future we want to reach. The CAS in Creative Leadership at the écal I’m currently attending at, encourages me even more to use those key features to work on solutions for a sustainable and preferable future(s).
